TriArchive is a workout parsing tool for triathletes and endurance athletes, operated by Richie Crehan, trading as TriArchive, from New Zealand. We take privacy seriously and collect only the information we need to operate the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Email address: We collect your email address when you create an account. We use it for logging in, sending password resets, subscription confirmations, and important service updates. We will not send you marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
Password: If you create an account with a password, it is hashed (encrypted one-way) before being stored. We never see, store, or have access to your actual password.
Account data: We store your subscription status, scan count, and account creation date so we can manage your plan and enforce usage limits.
When you visit triarchive.app, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically receives certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and referring URL. This information is used for security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and service operation.
We do not use this information for advertising profiling, and we only use it as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the service.
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, your payment details (card number, expiry, CVC) are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form. Your card details are never sent to, seen by, or stored on TriArchive's servers.
We receive only a confirmation from Stripe that your payment was successful, along with a customer ID that links your Stripe subscription to your TriArchive account. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data. Stripe may retain billing records independently for their own legal and tax compliance obligations.
Workout images, text, and voice input: When you upload a screenshot, paste text, or submit a spoken workout description, that content is processed to provide the parsing service. This may include sending the content, or a transcription of it, to our AI service provider or speech-processing provider acting on our behalf.
We do not intentionally retain uploaded workout images, audio, or pasted workout text longer than necessary to process your request, except where limited temporary retention is required for security, debugging, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or our service providers' standard systems.
Parsed workouts and preferences: Structured workout data and app preferences, such as abbreviations and saved workouts, are currently stored locally in your browser unless and until account-based storage is introduced.
Intervals.icu connection: If you connect your Intervals.icu account, your API credentials or connection details are used only to send workouts on your behalf. We do not use that connection to access your activities, wellness data, or unrelated account information beyond what is needed to provide the export feature.
Usage analytics: We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregated usage of the service, such as page views and feature usage. Vercel Web Analytics is designed to be privacy-friendly and, by default, does not rely on third-party cookies for cross-site tracking.
Feedback: When you submit feedback, such as thumbs up or thumbs down after a parse, we may store that feedback together with limited contextual information needed to improve the service.
We use third-party service providers to operate TriArchive. Depending on the features you use, these may include:
Anthropic (Claude AI): Used to process workout content for parsing. Anthropic Privacy Policy
Stripe: Used for subscription billing and payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
Intervals.icu: Used when you choose to export workouts to your Intervals.icu account.
Vercel: Used for hosting, infrastructure, and analytics. Vercel Privacy Policy
Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy documentation, and we use them only as reasonably necessary to operate the service.
TriArchive is operated from New Zealand. However, some of the third-party services we use are based in the United States, including Anthropic (AI parsing), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting). This means your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
We only share data with providers that maintain privacy and security standards consistent with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. New Zealand holds an adequacy determination from the European Union, meaning data transfers between the EU and New Zealand are permitted under GDPR.
We keep account information, such as your email address, subscription status, usage information, and account creation date, for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward where needed for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or accounting purposes.
Uploaded workout images, pasted text, and audio are not intentionally retained longer than necessary to process your request, except where limited temporary retention is required for security, debugging, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or our service providers' standard systems.
Locally stored data, such as browser-based preferences or saved workouts, remains on your device until you clear your browser data or remove it through the app.
If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or de-identify personal information we control within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes.
Access your data: You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you by emailing us.
Correct your data: If any personal information we hold about you is incorrect, you can ask us to correct it.
Delete your account: You can request deletion of your account and the personal information we control by emailing us. If you are on a paid plan, we will cancel auto-renewal immediately. Unless you request earlier deletion, your paid features will remain available until the end of your current billing period, after which your account data will be deleted within 30 days, except where limited retention is required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes.
Disconnect integrations: You can disconnect your Intervals.icu connection at any time through the app.
We aim to respond to privacy requests within 20 working days, or earlier where reasonably possible.
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to request access to, and correction of, your personal information. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
If you are located in the European Union, you may also have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Passwords are hashed before storage, payment data is handled entirely by Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure, and all data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS.
No system is completely secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
In the event of a data breach that is likely to cause serious harm to affected individuals, we will notify both the affected users and the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner as soon as practicable, in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. Notification will include the nature of the breach, what information was involved, and what steps we are taking in response.
TriArchive uses essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, manage your session, and operate core app features. We do not use advertising cookies.
We may also use privacy-friendly analytics technologies, including Vercel Web Analytics, to understand overall usage of the service.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may affect your ability to use the app.
TriArchive is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice within the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, every organisation is required to have a designated privacy officer. TriArchive's privacy officer can be contacted at hello@triarchive.app for any privacy questions, data access requests, correction requests, or concerns.
